Everyone has an opinion

I listened, I did

I moved further away from who I am

I’ve done SO MUCH work to come back to ME

Living my life, making my own decisions, listening to others, learning but trusting my own gut

But interestingly… I caught myself on the weekend “doing as I was told”

I was the poster child for behaving

I never broke the rules

It was obvious that I’d ignored who I was and what I wanted to be this

When I got the urge to be me, one in a blue moon…

I’d do something dangerous to rebel against the rules

Or I’d hide it

And as I hid myself more I’d retract further away from people – especially the ones who were too opinionated…

I’m practicing and getting stronger at being me but this weekend, I caught myself ‘doing as I was told’

I had two people telling me to do the COMPLETE OPPOSITE

I was so annoyed!

I spent a good portion of the game being upset with them for not having their shit together or being on the same page and trying to make me do two things at once

LOL – like it was their fault!

Here’s what I know about this situation…

1. Every cause for argument kicks off a battle for the largest victim station – I was trying to be the biggest victim – like I was being good for doing what I was told and they were bad for not being on the same page (facepalm!)

2. They have the same intentions as me! To win the game, they were trying to be helpful

3. I actually know what I need to do to benefit the team – I should have just done that

4. I’ve allowed these people to make decisions for me – it’s not their fault, I LET THAT HAPPEN!

5. I know what I want – TO SEE, HEAR, KNOW AND FEEL THAT I AM LIVING IN PURPOSE, PASSION AND LOVE

This means doing what I FEEL is right, using my gut instinct

Because when I do this, fuel that pull to live in:

• My Greatest potential

• My passion

• Love

• My Own way

Then the small stuff I worry about like weight, having enough time, being good enough for any of it just GOES AWAY!

Let me be VERY CLEAR – in my experience as a weight loss coach –

  • Weight is a symptom
  • Symptom caused by a behaviour (over-eating, bingeing, being too busy etc.)
  • And that behaviour was created by… ???
  • My lack of boundaries
  • My need to impress people
  • My desire to be loved and accepted by everyone (IMPOSSIBLE!)

And that, my friends, is where the work is done – in our behaviour and it’s cause

Interpreting what the behaviour is being driven by can help us choose something different!

Literally, rewriting the neural pathways in your brain so you don’t have to suffer from that behaviour anymore and get great transformation results.

So I know, I GET TO CHANGE…

• My EXPERIENCE

• My BODY
