I’ve always been lead to believe you need a punishing gym routine and a restrictive, no fun diet to lose weight! In working with my health coach, I’ve learned the opposite is true, how you do health needs to be fun and free.

Most of my clients are confused by this, how can they enjoy their lives and have the body and energy they want?

It’s simple, we get mindful! Mindful on food, mindful on movement, mindful on how our bodies communicate what it needs and doesn’t need.

Your body is the number one authority on what you need so when your skin is breaking out, your carrying excess weight, have low energy, your bloating easily and can’t focus in parts of the day then your body is trying to tell you that something isn’t right and you need t find out what is going on.

This handy little secret will always bring you back to the truth of what you body needs.

So what is mindfulness and how do you do it?

Mindfulness means allocating time to prepare and enjoy the process of eating or moving without rushing or multitasking at the same time.

Mindful eating and mindful movement is a way of saying to yourself: “I respect my body enough to be mindful of what I put into it, the way I use it and of the way I eat.”

Mindful eating means taking the time to honor your food by choosing high quality food, preparing it with care and eating it slowly and mindfully using your five senses to really enjoy it. Following that, to listen to your bodies reaction to food, do you bloat? Does your energy increase or decrease? Do you lose or gain mental focus?

Mindful movement means taking the time to honor your bodies capability to move, finding movement that it enjoys whether it be walking, yoga, weight training or running. Do I feel energised? Do I feel stronger? Do I feel like I’ve achieved my movement objective?

My clients find that becoming mindful helps them to:

  • Create healthy habits that give them energy

  • Jumpstart their weight loss

  • Sense intuitively when they are hungry and full

  • Gain way more satisfaction from eating

  • Develop a healthy relationship with food

  • Improve digestion (less gas and bloating)

  • Regulate bowel movement

  • Discover food sensitivities

How will you know if it’s time to learn to eat and move mindfully?
